BLUE for Patience

How To Use The Colour Blue To Develop Patience & Self-Control

"As soon as you honour the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of quality, care, and love – even the most simple action." Eckhart Tolle

During this article you will discover how to give yourself permission to evolve at your own pace despite external pressures and relax in the knowing that everything unfolds at the right time if we are persistent.

This process helps to rebalance your throat chakra so that you can develop more self-control and patience.Remember the quote by Sharon Salzberg? She says "Patience doesn't mean making a pact with the devil of denial, ignoring our emotions and aspirations. It means being wholeheartedly engaged in the process that's unfolding, rather than ripping open a budding flower or demanding a caterpillar hurry up and get that chrysalis stage over with."

Take Inspired Action & Then Go SURF, PLAY & PAINT

Do you want to regain control in your life and refocus on what is important? Then it is essential that you become the master of your own schedule and take time out to observe and reflect your surroundings without judgement and relax into the flow of life again. Consistently engaging in immersive attention, breathing in deeply and allowing situations to evolve fluidly is the key to greater self-control and develops your manifestation skills. Remember we must first take inspired action but then go surf, play and paint.

Observe the behaviour of your beloved cat. She will look for things that make her feel good during the day. A few hours sprawled out in the sun, a quick burst of energy as she runs around the home chasing a moth then some water, a tickle and some cuddles before she is rewarded for her efforts of just being with a delicious tin of tuna.

Up until recently, I had always been a very impatient person. Being brought up in a family that believed the propaganda of 'buy now pay later' model, if I wanted something I would get it and then spend the next ten years trying to pay it off. There is lots of peer pressure to keep up with the Jones' in an age where we are being brain washed by social media advertising daily.

Losing yourself in inspired action when feeling the urge then turning the other cheek and indulging in play will keep you feeling happy in the moment and help with the manifestation process. Today I feel a lot more relaxed during the day and am still amazed by the amount I can achieve.

3 WAYS TO CULTIVATE PATIENCE

If you are not a naturally patient person then here are some strategies suggested by emerging patience research.

Reevaluate The Circumstances

Feeling impatient is not just an automatic emotional response; it actually involves conscious thoughts and beliefs. If you have been held up by someone running late, instead of getting frustrated you ca see that extra time as an opportunity to get something else done. Perhaps something just for you like writing in your journal or calling a friend. Patience is linked to self-control so consciously trying to regulate our emotions can help us hone our self-control skills.

Practice Mindfulness

Just taking a moment to inhale a few deep breaths and noticing your dominant feelings can help you respond with more patience.

Develop Gratitude

If we are genuinely thankful for what we have at this moment in time, we are not desperate for more things or better life situations immediately.Practicing patience in everyday situations will not only dramatically improve your life in the present, but might also help you to create a much more rewarding and abundant future.
