VIOLET for Freedom

LIBERATION IN UNITY

Using the colour violet to transcend your ego to experience greater freedom.

"If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge. Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time.  It's very important to be aware of them every time they come up. " Deepak Chopra

During this article you will learn how to activate greater freedom of choice and expression, liberate yourself from negative inner dialogue and make room for positive new experiences to enter your world.

This process helps to rebalance your crown chakra so that you can transcend the voice of the ego and experience a greater sense of freedom and connection to world around you.

"When we are disconnected from ourselves — from who we really are and from our feelings — and when we are not filling ourselves with love through our spiritual connection, we create a black hole within. The black hole we’ve created through our self-abandonment becomes like a vacuum, trying to pull love from others. This neediness tends to push people away, so we end up feeling even more unloved. When we want responsibility for our own well-being and we open to learning about loving ourselves, we open the door to connecting with an infinite source of love. Learning to bring this love within and share it with others creates deep inner fulfilment." Margaret Paul Ph.D

What Is The Ego?

The ego is a false identity of our own construction. Examine the beliefs of who you think you are - your personality, talents, and abilities. This is the structure of your ego.  These talents, abilities and aspects of your personality will be components of your skills, but the mental construct of our “self” is artificial. This is a dynamic part of your personality, playing an huge role in creating emotional drama in your life.

Eckhart Tolle, author of A New Earth, explains how to break through the shell that separates you from your true self.
He says "Vanity and pride are what most of us tend to think of when we think of ego, but ego is much more than an overinflated sense of self. It can also turn up in feelings of inferiority or self-hatred because ego is any image you have of yourself that gives you a sense of identity—and that identity derives from the things you tell yourself and the things other people have been saying about you that you've decided to accept as truth.

One way to think about ego is as a protective heavy shell, such as the kind some animals have, like a big beetle. This protective shell works like armour to cut you off from other people and the outside world. What I mean by shell is a sense of separation: Here's me and there's the rest of the universe and other people. The ego likes to emphasise the "otherness" of others."

Spirituality Verses Ego

Unlike many other areas of life, it is extremely challenging to verify your level of spirituality because it is an internal quest. It requires awakening to a level of life that transcends thoughts and emotions. Measuring one’s spirituality would require measuring one’s consciousness or the development of one’s soul—it’s not so easy to do.

Have a certificate or diploma in a spiritual practise is very different than embodying spirituality which can be difficult to comprehend. People who have studied spirituality may believe that they are more evolved but the reality is that spiritual advancement is not measured with a certificate. It is evolves over many lifetimes.

You probably know someone who likes to demonstrate their spirituality through the way they behave. They may frequently say 'namaste', act with purity or even wear a rainbow caftan. Yet, true spirituality has nothing to do with external appearances or philosophical beliefs. A truly spiritual being can be from any walk of life.

Unfortunately, those who have built their self-esteem, their ego, with such superficial criteria can find this concept quite challenging. Their self-esteem has been unnaturally inflated. They have used these outward measures to prove to themselves and the rest of the world they are spiritually evolved. Ironically, these people who will be the first to claim they have transcended their ego and left the self behind.

The ego is frequently misunderstood. Superficially, the ego displays the personality self. Here, selfishness is frowned upon. However, as you advance, the ego does not dissolve, it actually gets bigger as you align with everything in the universe. On this deeper level, Selfishness is not to be scorned. It lovingly embraces all that is because you are one with all that is. So, “selflessness” really means the transformation of ego, not the annihilation of ego.

Activate The Crown Chakra To Develop Oneness

Violet is the colour of the crown chakra.
This vibrant colour balances this energy centre which will enable you to reach enlightenment and a state of oneness.
The crown chakra reconnects you back up 'to the grid' and reminds us of a sense of unity with all of existence, the purity of incarnation and ultimate blissful enlightenment. All too often we forget that the universe is eternal and that there is so much more to life that just our egotistical physical existence.
The Crown Chakra delivers meaning and gratitude back in our lives and helps to confirm our own unique understanding of the road less travelled, free of fear and limitations.
It also assists with anxiety and fears, selfishness, depression, confusion and insomnia. Works on the head, higher mind, upper brain, central nervous system and pineal gland.

Signs of a blocked crown chakra can include:
Anxiety and fears, selfishness, depression, confusion, learning difficulties, limited beliefs, spiritual scepticism and insomnia.

The easiest way to notice if your crown chakra is out of balance is when we feeling abandoned by God or believing that he should do for us or relying too much on signs and omens. We may also experience an inability to surrender to circumstances outside of our control or fight the hand of fate rather than working with it. You may also feel a deep sense of despair and hopelessness.

There are several ways to stimulate and rebalance this energy centre.

5 Top Tips To Rebalance The Crown Chakra

1. Use Vibrational Remedies:
Australian bush flowers such as the Red Lily, Sydney Rose, Bush Iris, Tall Yellow Top and Slender Rice Flower will work on rebalancing the crown chakra and will help to keep you spiritually grounded, connected to others, less isolated and materialistic.
Organic essential oils such as Frankincense , Marjoram, and Rose are also perfect as they can either be diffused in an oil burner or vaporiser, sprayed into the aura in the form of a misting spray or gently rubbed onto certain trigger points on the skin.

2. Use Crystals:
Listed below are a selection of healing stones that are commonly used to open, balance and heal the crown chakra.
These can be worn as jewellery or consumed as a gem elixir.

Quartz - Clear - Amplifies energy, brings heightened spiritual awareness, expands consciousness, opens communication with guides, encourages clarity, amplifies psychic abilities.

3. Use Sound Frequencies:
Many sounds seem to resonate the chakras. However, among the most popular are the use of vowels and the use of mantras. This use of vowels seem to be extremely effective in balancing the chakras. The vowel sound for crown activation is Eee.

The second method of resonating the chakras is to use the Bija Mantras, the Sanskrit letters from the Vedic traditions, which by themselves are said to balance and align the chakras. The Bija Mantra is Om.

Another aspect of sonic chakra resonance has to do with the actual frequency or keynote of each chakra. There a multitudinous different keynotes and scales with regard to this.

Keynote B is aligned with this energy centre and has a frequency of 480 Hz.

4. Prayer:
Discovering your true self is, for most of us, a lifelong journey. Learning to tap into the stillness that’s always present underneath the currents of daily life is a great place to begin making this connection, and this new-found self-awareness and love will hopefully be just the beginning of a healthy relationship with so much more.

5. Surround yourself with the colour violet
Another very simple method to rebalance the crown chakra is to wear violet clothes or bathe in violet light. This is especially beneficial if you have the 'Arrow of Practicality' in your birth chart or if you are a Ruling 4 or Day Number 4.
